| The course is focuse given to understand the concept of GIS and its integration in disaster situations. Hands-on experience with the ArcGIS tools will also be part of the course. |

After completing the subject, the student:
- describes GIS possibilities in different civil protection phases;
- finds the necessary map layers and satellite images;
- compiles a situation map using a GIS application;
- carries out disaster assessment with a GIS application. |
