| General description |
To provide students with in-depth knowledge of strategic
management and strategic planning and to develop in them the skill to implement the
obtained knowledge utilizing various and different management theories. |

| Study outcome |
Understands the nature and the essence of strategic management and is able to
apply the obtained knowledge in organizations of the public sector;
Is familiar with the methods of analysis and the process of formation of strategies
used in strategic management;
Is able to create strategic documents essential for the organization;
Is familiar with the instruments of strategic management (benchmarking, a
balanced score card, the principles of result based management and quality
management etc.) and is able to adjust and implement them according to the
environment, to the situation and to the area;
Is familiar with the methods and measures of organizational diagnostics, being
able to implement them in practice;
Is able to interconnect the development plan and the budget and to plan the
development processes of the organization;
Is familiar with different models of self assessment (CAF, EFQM etc,), is able to
conduct self assessment of the organization and to create quality management
systems;
Understands the importance of strategic risk management in an organization and
is able to use different methods of risk management. |
