| General description |

To develop in the students the abilities for management of
activities in crisis situations and the practical knowledge for coping with major accidents
and public events. |

| Study outcome |

Is able to manage and regulate activities and make competent decisions in an
emergency situation and understands the tasks of different management levels
(strategic, tactical, operational);
Is able to evaluate the legal conditions and use the tactical possibilities for a
successful operation in emergency situations;
Is able to operate in units specializing in solving emergency situations (the
headquarters of the scene of events, crisis management center);
Is able to manage the cooperation with other agencies, institutions and the
population on the operational and the strategic level with the aim of solving
emergency situations;
Is able to carry out negotiations with the different counterparties of a crisis or of a
conflict;
Is able to operate in an emergency situation as a member of a specialized (DVI)
unit upon identification of crisis victims;
Is aware of the connections between project leadership and crisis management, is
able to plan and manage projects related to risk administration. |
