| General description |
To provide the students with an overview of formation and of
the background of customs policy and of the methodology and of the legal environment
of customs surveillance. |

| Study outcome |
Has an overview of the main principles and directions of the customs policy of
the European Union;
Is familiar with the regulations governing the customs procedures;
Is familiar with the main customs procedures and import formalities;
Is familiar with the methods and types of customs surveillance as well as with the
objects to be checked and is able to perform customs surveillance;
Has an overview of the goods requiring special permission and of the forbidden
and high-risk goods;
Is able to evaluate the importance of customs surveillance from the point of view
of general internal security. |
