To provide the students with the knowledge of the possibilities
of readiness for an emergency situation and to develop in them the ability to contribute to
increasing the readiness of the country in emergency situations of different types. |

Is familiar with the legislation regulating the readiness for emergency situations;
Understands the international system of crisis management (EU, NATO, UN);
Is familiar with the procedures of applying for and the providing of international
assistance;
Is familiar with the possibilities of civilian-military cooperation;
Is familiar with the substances used in weapons of mass destruction and the
physical and chemical parameters characterizing thereof;
Understands the factors influencing toxicity and the parameters of toxicometry;
Is able to implement his or her knowledge upon selection of protective equipment
and upon arrangement of a decontamination process;
Is able to create the readiness for liquidation of oil pollution. |
