General description
To provide the students with the knowledge of the border
guard system and the skill to implement the above knowledge upon managing of border
guard units and coordination of activities.
Study outcome
Is able to coordinate border control related joint activities (Frontex) on the
external borders of the European Union and the different working groups of the
European Union dealing with preparation of legal acts being created in regards to
the external borders, and the competencies thereof;
 Is able to analyze the border guard policy of the state;
 Is familiar with the principles, the management system and the special character
of service of the organization of the Border Guard and is able to manage border
guard authorities;
 Possesses an adequate knowledge of the structure, the main concepts and the
tasks of the border guard related training and qualification system;
 Is able to participate in the national and international cooperation of the Border
Guard;
 Is able to conduct the operational and the tactical planning of Border Guard
activity;
 Is able to manage the activity of Border Guard units in emergency situations;
 Is familiar with the tasks of the RAPID teams and with the regulations governing
thereof.
