Learning outcomes

The graduate:
- understands the factors influencing human behavior, principles of management and organizational behavior, statehood, economics and principles of operations of public administration;
- knows the legal provisions and is able to implement them in the Estonian and European Union legal system;
- is able to independently and critically produce a variety of research in accordance with EASS written work instructions;
- is fluent in one foreign language at the advanced level;
- able to apply knowledge of engineering on acquisition of professional subjects and in professional work;
- is able to mathematically model and analyze professional problems and resolve them on the basis of modern information technology tools;
- is able to handle hazardous substances and knows burning processes;
- is able to perform rescue operations in the professional level of class II rescuer;
- is able to perform training and manage emergency rescue work on the professional level of class III rescue specialist;
- is able to carry out rescue operations related to fire safety supervision on the level III and IV of a rescue inspector and to organize prevention;
- knows how to plan the readiness of the state and businesses for major accidents;
- knows the current problems of the rescue field and is able to analyze and evaluate their solutions.
