General description

To provide the students with an overview of the directions of
development and the peculiarities caused by the special character of the culture of
contemporary society and of the influence thereof on internal security and safety;

Study outcome

Is familiar with the directions of development of contemporary society and with
the influence of the socio cultural context on the society;
 Is able to evaluate the possibilities of multiculturalism and of social diversity and
the consequences thereof to internal security;
 Is familiar with the legal acts regulating human rights and is able to implement
them in the context of internal security;
 Is familiar with the ways of life and lifestyles and the pursuits for safety of ethnic,
religious, etc. minorities;
 Understands the threats and risks to internal security caused by ethic and religious
issues;
 Is familiar with the principles of the integration of ethnic, religious etc.
minorities;
 Is able to shape a tolerant approach towards the diversity of attitudes and values.
