Subject 'Academic Writing'

To provide the students with the ability to express himself or
herself in an academic language and to comply with substantive and compositional
norms of an academic text;

Is guided by good academic practice in his or her scientific work, is familiar with
the ethical issues of research work and follows the code of ethics of Estonian
scientists;

Is able to formulate scientific publications and scientific papers according to the
requirements;

Is familiar with the proper technique of quoting, reporting and reference;

Is able to choose the style and figures of speech adequate for writing a research
paper;

Is able to work with the scientific articles on data analysis and to independently
write articles containing qualitative and quantitative analysis;

Is familiar with the Estonian Research Information System and is able to use it in
his or her research and development activity.
