AimTo provide a overview of the key concepts, theories, and principles relevant to disaster management and risk reduction.
Form descriptionThis course introduces the student to the key concepts of disaster management (risk reduction, response, recovery), risk (vulnerability, capacity, hazard) and disaster risk reduction (risk assessment, mitigation, preparedness) in national and interenational level.
Study outcomeKnows disaster management activities in different phases of the cycle (prevention, preparedness, response, recovery).
Knows the basics of international disaster management (EU, UN, NATO). Understand risk management activities. Knows the basics of leadership and management in disaster situation.
