General descriptionTo develop in the students the abilities for management of
activities in crisis situations and the practical knowledge for coping with major accidents and public events. Study outcomeIs able to manage and regulate activities and make competent decisions in an
emergency situation and understands the tasks of different management levels (strategic, tactical, operational); Is able to evaluate the legal conditions and use the tactical possibilities for a successful operation in emergency situations; Is able to operate in units specializing in solving emergency situations (the headquarters of the scene of events, crisis management center); Is able to manage the cooperation with other agencies, institutions and the population on the operational and the strategic level with the aim of solving emergency situations; Is able to carry out negotiations with the different counterparties of a crisis or of a conflict; Is able to operate in an emergency situation as a member of a specialized (DVI) unit upon identification of crisis victims; Is aware of the connections between project leadership and crisis management, is able to plan and manage projects related to risk administration.
