General descriptionTo provide the students with an overview and the knowledge
of budgeting and of the personnel policy of the prison organization and with the ability to implement the acquired knowledge in his or her area of activity. COVERED TOPICS: Organizations: organizational structure, organizational designing, organization culture, budgeting correction units, comparative perspective on penal organizations Leadership: Defining leadership, leadership theories, the most recent approaches to leadership, leadership in prisons Individual in Organizations: Values, attitudes, job satisfaction, commitment, motivation, how to develop personnel policy in penal organizations AimTo provide the students with an overview and the knowledge
of budgeting and of the personnel policy of the prison organization and with the ability to implement the acquired knowledge in his or her area of activity. Study outcomeIs familiar with the structure and the basis of the prison organization;
Is familiar with and is able to compare the structure of the management models of different prison organizations of the European Union; Is able to critically analyze the experience of different countries upon carrying out the personnel policy of the prison organization; Is able to understand and analyze the basics of formation of the budget of the prison organization and the process of execution of the budget; Is familiar with the basis and the development directions of the personnel policy of the prison system and is able to implement them in prison.
