To shape in the students the competency to carry out research
work based on the needs of the area of internal security and to develop in them the
computer literacy for performing information searches.

Is able to raise issues for conducting research work, to formulate hypotheses and
to compile research assignments for solving problems;

Is able to describe investigative approaches and research strategies;

Is familiar with the differences, the theories, the traits and the types of empirical,
quantitative and qualitative research;

Is able to recognize and create interdisciplinary connections;

Is able to choose the appropriate methods of data collection, processing and
presentation for conducting a research;

Is able to critically evaluate his or her activity upon solving research related
problems;

Is able by using appropriate methods and means to collect information and to
assess the relevance of the result of information searches.
